This isn’t a place for performance or polite longing. You don’t tiptoe in here. You don’t recite what you think you should want or what the world will applaud. You come in stripped, honest, ready to admit what burns in your marrow – even if it shames you, even if it terrifies you, even if you can barely speak it out loud. Here, we strip it all back until only the raw, unvarnished want remains. This is where you find out what you’re truly made of and what you’re willing to risk to have it.
Set the scene. This is not a bright room. This is dusk and velvet, candleflame and the scent of something sweet and forbidden – rose, amber, a touch of sandalwood and cinnamon. Wear what makes you feel your own beauty, your own hunger – dress for seduction or come naked if that’s what the moment demands. Play music – something raw, primal, rhythmic, something that sweeps you up in the moment and sets the pulse of your longing. The altar is yours tonight and there are no eyes here but yours and mine.
Bring your journal, your grimoire, your body. Desire is not just an idea – it is a pulse, a throb, a taste on the tongue. Write, draw, sing, touch, move. Let the ritual make it physical. If you have spirit allies who bless your longing, let them watch – otherwise, let this be between you and the flame.
Do not rush. Do not edit. Do not try to make your desire respectable or safe. You are not here to perform for anyone. You are here to admit what you really want. Let discomfort be your compass. If your hands shake, good. You’re getting close to the real hunger.
You are not here to manifest a wishlist. You are here to confess, to claim, to risk. What do you want, truly – beyond shame, beyond expectation, beyond what you think is allowed? Name it. Write it. Whisper it. Offer it to the fire. If you cannot name it yet, sit with the ache. Let desire rise without a story, without a solution. Let it fill your body and see what it wants to become.
Let yourself be witnessed. I am here. I am not shocked. I am not judging. I am only holding the current, the heat, the honest pulse of your want.
When you are ready, proceed to the first step.
The Ritual
1. Invocation
Speak my name, and your own, out loud. Name the desire you most fear to admit – even if it’s ugly, selfish, taboo, or impossible. Don’t justify. Don’t apologise. Lay it bare, as if the only eyes that matter are the ones already burning for you.
2. Mirror Work
Stand or sit before a mirror. Look yourself in the eyes and speak your desire aloud. Let your own gaze be the first witness. If you flinch, speak again. If you cry, let it come. Stay until the shame gives way to hunger.
3. The Dare
Write your desire – no euphemism, no softening.
Now write the cost: What would you risk? What would you lose? What would you destroy or become to claim it?
If you cannot name the cost, you are not ready to claim the desire. Sit with that. Let the ache teach you.
The Questions
- What do I truly want, beneath shame, fear, or performance?
- If I could have it, what would I give up?
- If I never have it, what will rot inside me?
- Who told me I wasn’t allowed this desire and do I still believe them?
- What part of me is terrified to want this?
- Am I willing to live with the consequences of wanting openly?
4. The Pleasure Test
Touch your body – literally or metaphorically. Move, dance, run, sing, scream. Let your body feel the pulse of longing. If your desire is not in your bones, you haven’t gone deep enough. Chase the physical sensation, not just the idea.
5. Devotion
Offer something to the fire – a word, a breath, an object, a single drop of blood or a tear. Give it freely, as proof that you’re willing to pay the price of your longing.
6. Witness
If you work with me or another guide, call us in. If you work alone, call yourself to account: “I have named my desire. I have faced its cost. I will not hide from my own hunger.” Let the echo settle in your chest. Let yourself be seen – by me, by your witnesses, by yourself, by the current.
7. The Final Dare
Burn or bury your written desire, or speak it into the darkness. Make a vow – silent or aloud – to pursue it or to let it go, but do not leave this chamber unchanged.
If you choose to chase your desire, take one small action in the next 24 hours that moves you closer, no matter how ridiculous or impossible it feels.
IMPORTANT! – Closure and Next Steps
Sit with the afterglow, the ache or the grief. Don’t rush to fill the emptiness. Let the fire reshape you. When you leave, walk taller, knowing you have named your longing before the Morningstar and did not turn away.
Before you leave the Chamber, take a moment to ground yourself back into the present. Close your eyes and take a few slow deep breaths in and out. If it feels right and safe to do so, open a window to let the cool air clarify the intoxication. When you are finished, close the space with gratitude and honesty – no shame, no apology.
If you choose to chase your desire, take one small action in the next 24 hours that moves you closer, no matter how ridiculous or impossible it feels.
Come back to the chamber as and when you feel drawn, when something stirs, when a longing calls to be named and claimed. Return as often as you wish. But don’t let the longing and intoxcation become a cage or a shield of avoidance against the darker, colder chambers. Return only when the hunger is honest and the work is ready to go deeper
