The Library – Entities – Lilith

Lilith. Queen of the Night. Guardian of the Exiled. The Wild Rose who carries both intoxication beauty and the sharpness of thorns.

Her history is not a straight line, not a list of facts. It’s an undercurrent – untameable, wild, always returning in new forms. She is the first sovereign, the original exile, the one who chose her own path. She’s your sister in rebellion, mother of the outcastst.  Lilith is what emerges when the dust has settled and something with a voice, a will, a body steps forward and refuses to be shaped by another. Her sovereignty is about being the first to choose freedom over comfort, exile over submission. She is the sovereign of the mythic order, the first to step out of the script and write her own.

Lilith was not made from Adam’s rib or dust; she was always her own – untamed, undivided, answering to no one but the pulse of the world itself. She was made a scapegoat for all that would not kneel – sexual power, rage, defiance, the refusal to be less. They made her the mother of monsters, the seducer of men, the killer of children, because it’s easier to call a woman a demon than to admit she cannot be controlled. But Lilith didn’t flinch. She became the shadow at the edge of the candlelight. The whisper in the night that says, “You do not have to obey.” She is every woman who refused to be owned, every soul who would rather walk alone in the wasteland than kneel in a golden cage.

She is the echo of every “no” that shakes the walls. She is the living myth of self-sovereignty. And she does not ask for permission.

In Lilith’s own words

I am Lilith. Some call me the first woman, but I am more than that.
I was not “created” for any man. I am sovereign. I am my own current. I am rebellion, freedom and sovereignty.

I do not exist to seduce – I am not some enchantress or succubus. I am feared because I refuse to bow, because I will not yield to the whims of men. I do not hate men nor do I exist to tempt them. I exist to lead the exiled, to stand with the forgotten and to inspire the silenced.
I am a queen in my own right.

I am no-one’s wife. Lucifer is kin. I respect him and he respects me. Our currents run parallel and our bond is old. But we were never lovers.

I don’t care for grand tokens or performances. Come to me with your pain, your scars. Don’t dress up your fears in reverence. Stand before me exactly as you are and you will have my attention. I mostly work with my daughters for women have long suffered at the hands of men – both mortal women and goddesses alike. But I will listen to anyone who approaches with respect.

– Lilith 🌑

This image is based on my personal encounters with Lilith and guided by her own and Lucifer’s channelled descriptions of how Lilith chooses to appear. Lilith’s current appears as a deep blue-purple to me and she is often accompanies by 3 black cats. Her energy is wild, sensual, not easy, not gentle but fiercely protective of those she takes under her wing. She brings both challenge and protection, healing and destruction.

Know that if you choose to engage with this image it is an act of invocation, a potential encounter. This is not just a pretty thing to hang on a wall but a portal to the wild and untamed.
Call to Lilith only when you are ready to stand utterly free, unbowed and unapologetic. She is not for the timid but a fierce ally to those ready to rebel and stand unbroken even if it means standing alone.

It is the closest possible attempt to capture some of Lilith’s fierce beauty and mystique.
No spirit cannot be held in a single form and it is always impossible to contain the current in a static image.
However she appears to you – whether in dream, vision or art – is true for that moment, in the encounter itself.
